Mindcab are a Zurich-based five-piece melodic Progressive Rock band, balancing airy, atmospheric soundscapes with tight, rhythmically intricate riffs. Since 2009, they've been on a musical journey that takes listeners on a trip through the mind, where keyboards, guitar, bass, and drums weave together in unexpected polyrhythms, guided by melodic vocal lines. Their signature is a dynamic interplay between space and structure, emotional openness and technical precision.
Time to Fall is their first full-length album with this line-up, representing a major creative milestone. It brings structure and cohesion to songs that had evolved over many years, giving the band a solid foundation to move forward. While the material was developed in the band's Zurich rehearsal studio, Anna Murphy (Cellar Darling, ex-Eluveitie), sound engineer and producer at Soundfarm Studios in Lucerne, Switzerland, shaped the album into its final form by arranging, refining, and elevating the songs' dynamics. The guitar tracks were further enhanced under the guidance of Tommy Vetterli (Coroner) at New Sound Studio, adding a distinctive edge to the band's sound.
The lyrics, written by the band's vocalist, explore personal struggle and self-reflection and mirror the band's path toward clarity and focus. After more than a decade, Mindcab are bringing their intricate and melodic music back to the stage with renewed intensity and purpose.
